2. Cut back on caffeine
Coffee and sodas are just a part of life for some people. While these and other beverages may wake you up, they do so in an unnatural way that can be harmful if you’re already feeling anxious. Caffeine also stimulates stress hormones. Everyone has a different tolerance for caffeine, so try adjusting your intake and see if your anxiety improves. If you have anything caffeinated, try to have it early in your day. However, if you’re already stressed or feeling anxious, try to skip it and grab some cold water or decaffeinated tea instead. You may find that your caffeine consumption was actually making you more tired and decreasing your body’s ability to simply rest.
