4. Reduce salt
Like salt? Well, unfortunately, you have to accept the fact that it’s bad for you. There’s no case to argue that any or all salt is bad for you, but there is a strong case to make against eating it in excess. It puts strain on your heart and can even cause poor circulation. However, reducing salt intake is easy. Simply reduce the salt you use in your cooking, or get rid of it altogether. You can add seasoning to your food without it–simply swap it for exciting herbs, ground pepper, or garnishes like mustard. You can experiment with lots of new flavors and they may just taste better than salt anyway!
