How It Can Be Consumed: Many agree that the healthiest way to eat clams would be when they are steamed. To steam clam, first make sure that all are tightly closed. Open clams are not healthy for digestion. Rinse the clams in cold water and let them sit in a bowl of lightly salted water. Bring water, stock or white wine to boil and then add the clams and steam while covered for about 5 to 10 minutes
