When the body is dehydrated, it can cause bowel movements to stop or become hard to move, causing irritation to the intestinal lining. In the case of diverticulosis, alcohol should be a firm no and this includes wine and beer. When you are experiencing diverticulosis, you should hydrate your body as best as possible and avoid things that will cause your body and cells to become dried out.
