Nowadays there is endless research to show that a sedentary lifestyle is damaging to your overall health. When the body is at rest, so are all of your cells in the body, which means you are likely to become ill and diseased much quicker than others. In addition, a sedentary lifestyle can be hurtful on your joints and joint structures, which is why this is a risk factor and symptom of bursitis. When you sit day-in and day-out, your joint structures are highly affected, as cortisol and stress hormones circulate the body in much higher numbers when you sit all day long. Consider finding ways to become more active if you have been sedentary in order to help save your bursa sacs in your joints.
