7. General food coloring
Anything that unnaturally changes the color of your food is probably bad for you. There are lots of ways you can change the color of your food using natural products, but most food you’ll find on the shelves of supermarkets will use synthetic dyes. Red food colorings found in candy and a range of sweet foods have been found to trigger thyroid problems and tumors and yellow dyes are also thought to have the potential of causing kidney tumors. Ultimately, if you know a food is the wrong color, you should try and avoid it. It might be difficult to cut these dyes out of your diet altogether but reducing the amount you consume will be great for your health.
