Green peas have been a dinner time staple item for quite some time and many young kids learn to like (for lack of better terms) them given their simple taste compared to other vegetable options. Each one cup serving of green peas not only offers low calories and fills you up, but it also offers seven grams of fiber. Green peas are quite versatile in that they can go very well in salads, as part of a side dish at dinner, or with other vegetables as a vegetable salad. Snap peas are a great option as well and make a great snacking option when added with a light dip or hummus.
