5. Use ginger
Ginger root is remarkably effective at relieving headache pain. You can take it in capsules, sip a hot tea, drink a sparkling cold beverage, or savor crystallized candies. Store-bought ginger ale only contains flavoring, which doesn’t confer health benefits. Here’s a recipe, which you can consume as hot tea, or add sparkling water for homemade ginger ale:
• Cut and peel a large ginger root into half-inch chunks.
• Simmer in a quart of water for a half hour.
• Strain and add honey to taste.
