10. Get adjusted
Structural headaches are caused when your body is out of alignment. Desk jobs often require sitting for hours at a time, staring at a monitor. This can lead to a condition known as “forward head posture.” Since your head has the weight of a bowling ball, every inch that your head is extended forward adds an additional 10 pounds of pressure to your neck and shoulders. You can perform a simple test for this condition:
• Stand with your back against a wall.
• Place your feet 6 inches out from the wall.
• If you cannot rest the back of your head against the wall, see a chiropractor for an adjustment.
